I've been using mobile money for years but realized I was only scratching the surface of what's possible. This course opened my eyes to so many features and services I didn't know existed! The security module was particularly helpful—I immediately improved the security of all my digital accounts. The step-by-step tutorials were easy to follow, even for someone like me who isn't very tech-savvy.

As a small business owner, I was hesitant to adopt digital payment methods because of security concerns. This course not only addressed those concerns but provided practical steps to implement digital payments safely. I now accept mobile money, bank transfers, and even QR code payments, which has increased my customer base significantly. The section on tracking digital transactions for accounting purposes was especially valuable for my business operations.

The content is informative, but I found some sections outdated as the mobile money platforms have updated their interfaces since the course was created. The principles are still valid, but some of the step-by-step instructions didn't match what I saw on my phone. I would appreciate more frequent updates to keep pace with these rapidly changing platforms. That said, the security principles and overall guidance were very helpful.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a smartphone to apply what I learn in this course?

While having a smartphone will allow you to immediately implement many of the concepts, we also cover USSD-based services that work on basic feature phones. However, to get the most value from the course, particularly regarding banking apps and financial management tools, a smartphone with internet access is recommended.

Is this course suitable for older adults who are not tech-savvy?

Will I learn about cryptocurrency in this course?

We include a basic introduction to cryptocurrency and blockchain technology in Module 8, focusing on their potential role in Ghana's financial future. However, this is not a comprehensive cryptocurrency course. We focus primarily on mainstream digital financial services that are widely used and regulated in Ghana.

I've been a victim of mobile money fraud before. Will this course help me prevent future incidents?

Absolutely. Module 5 is dedicated to digital financial security and covers common scams in Ghana, how to identify them, and steps to protect yourself. We also provide guidance on what to do if you've been victimized and how to report incidents to the relevant authorities.
